MISSION:
At Katoya's Playhouse our mission is to teach forestry, wildlife, and agriculture skills on a 1.5 mile trail to urban and rural youth by exposing them to nature and the value of the outdoor experience. Children will learn to have fun outdoors, and outdoor skills which will make life better. Children will also develop social interaction skills, and learn about opportunities in agriculture and forestry.



PLANTS
Activity 1. Learn to identify and tell the age of trees
Activity 2. Learn what is edible in the forest
Activity 3. Learn to identify poisonous plants and vegetation
Activity 4. Identify fruit trees, berries, nuts and leaves
Activity 5. Plant food plots for both humans and wildlife


WILDLIFE
Activity 1. Learn different wildlife areas
Activity 2. Identifying animal tracks and markings
Activity 3. Social interactions among various wildlife
Activity 4. Identifying the plants and diets of wildlife
Activity 5. Hunting for the dinner table
Activity 6. Learn to fish and identify different types of fish


FUN STUFF
